We met Atlanta's Chris Brann way back when, and this ongoing love for his music and his art continues, with his trailblazing work in Wamdue Kids and the magic releases in the mid-late 90s on the likes of Peacefrog, Acacia and Guidance.
His prowess and understanding of programming and quality of releases makes us wonder why he's not up there with the likes of Kerri and others, for us he's one of the maestros' of of deep house. Studies In Form is never off our turntable, the track originally hails from his golden era, out in 1997 on Woody McBride's Sensuist label.
Now remastered, these tracks sound evergreen, steeped in the warm musicality of the era, with plenty of lessons for young producers on how to get a floor moving on some track, but deep and superbly layered melodies for those underground moments.
