Papaya Detroit's eight release sends us spinning back to New York City's most legendary nightspots. With 'Danceteria' the a-side on a two track release which kicks off with swirls of disco nostalgia. The track set to a backdrop of rhodes piano and hand claps riding along before the female vocal elevates the familiar melody. On the flip 'Loft Night Theory', as its name suggests, has its roots in those Mancuso loft parties the success of this sound set to bongos is that sound that kept his revered parties unique to the "underground" sound of the city.
