The musical prowess of FKA twigs continues to shine ever since her breakthrough debut album LP1 dropped back 2014. Here with her newly pressed 'mixtape' on vinyl CAPRISONGS feels like a brand new shift into new territory that feels like a new star is born. CAPRISONGS brings us a new twist and sidestep, sounding more refined, mature and assured, after the heartfelt pain and yearning of MAGDALENE, twigs produces a revitalising mixtape containing her most collaborative, expressive and fun material to date.

Across CAPRISONGS landscape featuring a star-studded team of producers, twigs opens up with emotive and candid conversations, stradling bumping trap beats, dancehall carnival rhythms all mixed up with her superlative voices and vignettes, with the stand out interpretation of Olive’s classic ‘You’re Not Alone’.

The tape is a rewind, but also a fast forward through some of the bleep and baselines of UK Dance scene of the last decade in some ways, while tracks like ‘ride the dragon’,  flips into a vocal performance that evolves into something that dives deep into the waters of murky baselines. Strings of heavy kicks bounce throughout ‘meta angel’, where twigs introduces the mixtape’s astrological themes. Then there's the  anthem ‘lightbeamers’ with haunting piano, and gently shimmering harp flourishes, with her voice taking you into the place of tears.
